Our client, the OOO Okean company, is an enterprise which specializes in seafood and fish processing.
Our task was to create the trademark and packaging designs for the Fish Friday product line. Given that most fish products in Russia are sold in blue packaging, we decided to make our client's stand out very clearly by choosing an entirely different color scheme. Therefore, we picked black as the background color for the new trademark, and a bold red to create a contrast. We would later use this color scheme for the whole packaging design as well.

While working on the packaging design, we wanted to avoid using photos of fish and very bright colorful illustrations, given the price of the products and target consumers, which our client outlined very clearly.
This is why we decided that our illustrations would resemble engravings. We also depicted different scenes showing the fish in its natural habitat.
