The TASK
"Borovets" is one of the most popular and well-positioned brands for waffles and biscuits in Bulgaria. The customers from "Day and Night" entrusted us with their new project - "Borovets" dipped biscuits with caramel and peanuts and "Borovets" caramel and crisps dipped biscuits.
So - we received from the client two packages of biscuits and complete freedom in design and approach. Our creative department loves this type of project very much - with freely set tasks, the most daring and memorable concepts are obtained.
In the process of research, we noticed the trend that consumers increasingly prefer various sweet products and their combinations such as - caramel, nougat, peanuts, crisps, and not just plain chocolate. Therefore, we decided that the leading role in the design should be given to the food area. We did a photo shoot of the biscuits and then very precisely retouched the images.
We wanted to put a special emphasis on the caramel filling - how it literally flows over the biscuits, making them very appetizing. We paid special attention to the peanuts and krispy balls wrapped in chocolate, we chose the right shadows. Illustrated in this way, the biscuits appear voluminous, almost 3D. This effect was achieved even without additional polygraphic effects, such as partial varnish and pregage. As an additional illustration for the filling, we used caramel, which seems to pour over the box and the chocolate pieces underneath.
The name of the product «CARAMEL» is written in a bold font that complements the vision of the packaging design.
