Challenge
One of the biggest milk processing companies in Russia “Molochnoe Delo” brought to us the redesign of the trademark “Blagoda”, as well as the design of the packaging for one of their main product lines.
Our task was to redesign the trademark and make the design for the packages of all main products of the company. The trademark had to stay basically the same, since it has been on the market for a long time and it’s very successful and familiar to customers all around Russia. The changes had to be minimal and we did our best to smoothen out all geometrical and proportional issues, as well as the problems with vector design. We also re-did the sunrays so that there is no unpleasant fragmentation, which can be very unpleasant for packaging that gets printed in small sizes. We focused on the more stable representation of the objects, outlining the elements and a rounder font for the separate letters, instead of the old, sharper and aggressive impression of the trademark.
We also redesigned the little house which “Blagoda” is associated with, as an element of the overall vision. We added more clear elements to it which define a smoother shape; we made a clearer smoke coming out of the chimney and improved the vector graphic.
The overall concept for the package design of all products, in this series, was: maximum curtness. We were looking for a clean design that is very well established on the market. We had to create a simple and memorable design that could easily be adapted into different shapes, formats and types of products since they were for a line that consisted of many different items with different packages. When an illustration was needed, we prepared the product, took photos and made detailed retouching of the images, so that they look even more appetizing.
This project is extremely successful and can be found in every shop all around Russia.
