The Task
Our clients from Dinnywink came to us with the request to design a package for baby puree with buckwheat. Dinnywink is an Israeli company and distributor of baby food. What they wanted from this new package was to put it besides many similar ones on the shelf – Hipp, Milupa, Topfer, and use familiar elements – a boul of baby food, a spoon, a field, as well as a similar composition.
In the process of designing these elements, we decided to try using an original method of creating the background, painted more freely in artrage. This way, despite the familiar composition and elements, the package became more individual and recognizable.
In this design we had to focus on the feeling that the product is ecological and beneficial. Such projects usually require many different kinds of work, regarding not only the illustration and its design and painting, but also the photography – we carefully picked out quality buckwheat seeds, which we composed together, photographed and retouched. The photos of the puree itself also needed preparation, a photo session and retouch. The work with fonts should not be underestimated either. Regarding the name – we wrote it by hand, turned it into vectors and added the necessary effects to add volume. This way the green color of the name additionally accented on the ecological benefits of the product.
